@handyandy saidThe Concept of the Thread is an American reality tv series following the lives
"The Concept of the Thread" is a new soap opera set to begin airing in October.
of lonely internet chess players. The main protagonist has the username
"So Squeaky" and is invariably the butt of many jokes for his naivety and
ignorance. Despite this he continues to pollute threads on the site's forums
despite not understanding the concept of the thread. (Hence the shows title.)
The next series is due to air in late October 2020.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidAll I can say is, if I wrote something wrongful and the automod detects it, it will
The 'C' word (rhyming with heating) is always auto-alerted. (No humans involved). This happens even if you reply to a post containing this word. I believe it goes back to the clan forum where that word was thrown around like popcorn.
And the thumbs down are red. 😀
delete the post, not report it for a real mod to do the deleting.
If the C-word was used, it was not in his post, it was in perhaps the post he
quoted. Now, if that's the case. the offending post would be deleted and
Rusty's post would be Ok, except the quoted post would be replaced with
a message saying something like "This post has been deleted" within the
quotebox.
Three reports can't be the automod. Not as I See it.
@trev33 saidha HA. You used the C-word and no report by automod.
Good question and do they all some in under one alert or are 5 alerts on the same post 5 separate alerts?
Simple questions if we knew who the mods where, but maybe that would be cheating.
@Ghost, there goes your theory
EDIT to add: 6.5 hour since Trev ran his test post. Nothing happened. Oh, he has three thumbs-up
@very-rusty saidSure, but you put it there yourself.
I have big sign on my back says "Target Me"! 😉
@earl-of-trumps saidCatch up old chap.

@suzianne saidThe Quote gets the alert, since the offending Aggregation of Symbols is in the Quote.
I had to see if any reply of any alerted post got an alert.
(Edit: apparently not.)
If so, we have a new game, to keep the alert going.
(Edit: or not.)
Next question: do auto-modded alerts auto-expire, or must a mod go in and turn them off?
@petewxyz saidHa! If only they knew about the secret education that we're getting. 😀
This is amazing, my best friends didn't know any of the stuff in this thread, but how did you all know?
Meanwhile another, perhaps futile, attempt to re-track this train: 🙂
My best friends don't know...
... that I spend hours trying to outwit friends and opponents on a chess site.
@wolfe63 saidAnything they don't know I'm not telling here!

Catch up old chap.
Ok, I apologize to ALL for taking this thread off track. As you all were!

@ghost-of-a-duke saidThat would be best in debate forum! 😉
Sure, but you put it there yourself.
I am sure there are a few in your clan had something to do with it as well!
