So, what is your definition of honesty? And how do you know whether something someone writes here is honest or not? It's quite possible that some of the people who wrote in this thread don't really care very much, but just said what they said because they have learned that this is the polite thing to do. But why do you think it's impossible that some peop ...[text shortened]... pretends to care a lot even though he/she cares just a little bit, is that such an awful thing?
I don't think it's impossible that some people really do care, but find it unlikely that so many care.

Who pissed in your cheerios today? Or are you always this much of a dick?
Thank you.

Sorry.
I was perhaps too harsh on you because what really bothers me is so many people pretending they care. Perhaps you have friends here, real friends, but I think that at least some people are pretending they care when they'll just easily forget it the next minute.
though you make a fair comment...i have often thought whether or not people really mean it when they say something like 'i'm sorry' (etc) but have also come to learn that it is worse to accuse someone of lying without evidence even if they're telling the truth, than to believe someone who appears to be telling the truth with no evidence, even if they are lying.
people have sympathised with me...and i'm grateful for that-that's all there is too it. even if not all of them don't truly mean it...that's not what is important.

i apologise if you feel you are being called a liar...this is certainly NOT what i was implying.
