Yea my oldest dog who I grew up with passed away during New Years he was 15 years old. He was also my best friend so I know how you feel.

I'm so sorry N I K, I hope it has helped you to share your pain. Talking about a lost loved one does sometimes help. You will know when the time is right to get another dog. Take care of yourself, if you wish to talk just message me. I'm quite a good listener.
