I read the entire set to my children also and did a painting off the book jacket of the first book (sorry Garth Williams) to hang on the wall. I never dreamed I would one day stand in that little house which is located near Lake Pepin now along the interstate. Clarence's mom was born and raised on the shore of Lake Pepin, and we were having a sentimental jo and see blind Mary sitting in a rocking chair on the porch. It was a special trip for me.
Thanks for your thoughtful post, Ale. Enjoyed it immensely and will make it a point to read it to Mom during our conversation this evening.

wow that's neat. My sister and I read all of her books, and I was so surprised when my daughters brought them home from the library. They really are a cool slice of frontier life

No excuse. Just a lapse of concentration and wrong priorities following the wireless access crash last week. Good news is new service March 3.

Never on Sundays, Meph... besides, March is my birthday (Aries) month.

😉
Aries is mine also (April). It's much more of April than March.

Late March after the first day of Spring. Evelyn was a late December Capricorn... two of us were a contrasting and yet complementary couple.

Hip replacement a topic we once discussed?

Edit: If so, my Boston friend finally overcame the cortisone induced infection and got his hip yesterday at Beth Israel with a new surgeon.

My bad. Momentarily confused you with another member from the Philly area. Half realized it at the time. Can't remember his nick. Sorry.
