So I got a new PC for xmas and either it's just me in my lack of sleep haze or there's serious pieces missing to this thing. Too scared to attempt any sort of digging through the mountain of stuff under the tree to see if mabye things got misplaced in the toss up. Everything was packed up tight so it must be here somewhere.
I'm feeling an odd sense of disloyalty to my still fairly new HP. Not sure how this new one will work out, it's a Dell. I don't know anybody who has ever owned a Dell. But it won't be very much compitition with no speakers or any wires to hook the printer up with.
P.S
So do I have to have my server come in again to hook this new PC up online?

Sorry mokko. Over here Dell is pretty much crap. They're a bit like mail order brides insomuch as you never know what you have actually purchased until wedding night, by then the agent has shot the gap and the cheque has already been cashed.
Next time do a no name build - slightly more expensive but it's all up-gradeable and serviceable.

I personally would never had purchased a Dell, but free is free 😀
I only bought my PC last Christmas and other than a little keyboard mishap I've been very happy with my HP. Baby+cup of tea+keyboard=oh crap :'(
It'll be a nice computer for the kids to lpay on though. I still don't know the first thing about it's capacity or capability but I have everything I could ever want on this comp so I guess really I don't care. 😛

But it looks to me like you care.
you are defending your Dell.

From system > hardware > device manager will give you all the installed devices. You can't cause any damage in these folders. Have a look around and compare. Anything that you don't understand repost. There's some serious IT geeks here. Most of them know what they're talking about with the exception of Bowmann. Avoid him like a plague.
