[b]Gee, nothing is lost on you, is it?
Since you're obviously attempting to deflect (again), allow me to point out the irony for you.
You clumsily stabbed at depicting others as preening and posturing in order to convey a certain image of themselves for the sake of others who might read it on the internet, an image which (by inference) w ...[text shortened]... ng darkly ~ or babbling glibly ~ about proclivity [or prowess] to settle disputes with violence.
Great point.
Physician, heal thyself.
Stop acting in a condescending manner, insulting others' ability to read/understand/express themselves, play the ball where it lies and bring something to the conversation other than your alleged superiority.
Stop playing to the gallery and actually carry the debate or discussion forward.

Of course, you don't have to answer the so-far-evaded question if you don't want to. 😉
I would try deflecting this if I were you too. Did I hit a little too close to home?

How can ChessPraxis' claims when he says "If it comes to [violence], I fight to win anyway possible and I do" be tested?
Chatroom
Debate
It's a message board. A chatroom is in real time, a message board isn't. Big difference
Debates is that way

RIP Dr. SL he would have bestowed a lifetime WAD award to you. 🙁
FMF: What is the point of these claims? How does it carry the debate or the discussion forward? If I were boasting about my physical abilities in violent situations in terms of disputes and perceived insults in discussions in a chat room then I certainly would need to "heal myself" and own up to being hypocritical, but I never do, never have, and never will 'mutter darkly or babble glibly' about my prowess in physical, violent fights.

I'm sure you have valid reasons for not doing so.
But, you missed the point.
The point had more to do with acting civilly, as though you were sitting at the bar with the folks instead of insulated by miles and miles of diplomatic immunity.

Originally posted by FreakyKBHAs far as I can see ~ lemon lime's take on feminism and women's rights aside ~ "the ball where it lies" is people boasting online about their ability or willingness to be violent as and when disputes arise about what is said in online debates and discussion. This is the "ball" I have been playing. I think I am actually carrying this discussion forward. Indeed, the discussion has been quite lively here for the last two and a half hours.

Originally posted by FreakyKBHMany people here are a bit rude to others at times, you and me included. Being rude is not what I see as making someone an 'internet tough guy'. It's all about alluding to ~ or insinuating ~ violent retribution or boasting about having the skills to use violence to seek retribution or 'settle' disputes with violence in 'real life'.
If anyone qualifies as an "Internet tough guy," I say it's the ones who affect act rudely, insulting for no other reason than they can.
When I first started using the internet ~ if I extrapolated and generalized from the sample I was exposed to in online forums ~ I quickly realized that there must be 200,000,000 men out there in the world who self-identify as ex-U.S. Marine sergeants and who are going to have the prerequisite skills to kill or hurt me if they were ever to meet me.
These are 'internet tough guys'.
