I think I am forthright, tenacious and have a knack of getting right to the heart of what's in dispute, often with uncomfortably on-target questions and observations. I think the label "dumbed-down troll" is more a reaction to this than it is an accurate description of me as a member of this community.
Don't mind FMF: he fancies himself an internet psychologist/psychoanalyst.
But don't be put off by his rates.
He's just looking for the occasional "thumb's up" from his fellow dumbed-down trolls, so you don't even have to file a claim with your insurance.

This is not a use of the word "henpecked" that I am familiar with.Maybe it is an American thing. Presumably you seek to contrast yourself with Handy Andy so I take it you see yourself as not "henpecked". So does this mean you would see yourself as being more assertive ~ sort of more able to remain in charge ~ with women than Handy Andy, is that what you're saying?

This is a pretty mainstream topic and our relative stances are pretty standard. I am interested in your assertion that women have "overplayed their hand" and also in what appears to be your willingness to blame women, in part anyway [it's not entirely clear what you were saying], for the misogyny that "overplaying their hand" has caused.
What's up with all of these questions and comments? Did I strike a nerve here or something?

It's uncanny.
As far as violence goes, I try to avoid it as much as possible. If it comes to that, I fight to win anyway possible and I do. It's not so much being a "badass" as it is having the training and knowhow to handle situations.
Why do men do this? What is to be gained ~ in a chat room ~ from making claims about oneself on this issue? How is it different from making totally irrelevant and unverifiable boasts about one's 'sexual conquests' or prowess at sexual intercourse? 🙂

Originally posted by ChessPraxisWell I am not "contradicting" your claim about "fighting to win anyway possible" and your claim about how you win fights and your claim about how you have the training and knowhow to handle yourself in violent situations. They are just claims about yourself. What is the point of "contradicting" them? I am simply challenging people who like to indulge in this kind of stuff online to perhaps explain why they do it what they think it means to others. And is your reference to the "small stature" of people who contradict and challenge you part and parcel of your internet tough guy thing too? 🙂
