with our wives to a Saturday night rodeo in TX... "Whenever anybody complains or criticizes you to your face or gives you any deserved or

undeserved crap, all you need to say is 'Good feedback'." Worst self prote utlandish hats. Evelyn said, "It's her flair and mark of incorrectness". I bought it.

I prefer codes and inuendo. The direct approach seldom works on here. Trying something new.

Ok. Personally I prefer honesty and the courage to speak one's mind respectfully.

#5. Telltale signs of a closed mind: (A) Subjective preoccupation with self; (B) Maximum rejection of authority; (C) Uninterested in learning

and therefore unteachable. Expressions of hypersensitivity to self and insensitivity to others include: I am very important; I already know it

all; I'm boss, so don't tell me what to think or do; viewing others as threats; putting them down to build your own happiness on their misery.

Ah yes, well I'm Mr. Barnard from room 12. Perhaps Mr. Debakey's free. He's a bit more conciliatory.

#6. Open/Closed Mind Litmus:

(A) Though it's a challenge at times I generally take people as they are, with an attitude of 'live and let live' and 'to each his (her) own'.

(B) It's my daily mission to save the village from those with canoes hewn from different wood, whose loin cloths are of a different style.

Result goes here __.

#7. Open/Closed Mind Advanced Litmus: (A) Do you give thanks when people reject you, because they're finally coming out from behind their

forum masks and curtains of hypocrisy to be brutally honest with you, or (B) Do you react, vibrate emotionally out of outrage like a hurt flower?

Result goes here ___.

No, nothing whatsoever to do with chess game opening variations but everything to do with the six to seven inches between your ears, which

your brain still calls home. Closed minds are eventually subject to the onset and ravages of strong delusion. It's a common condition caused

by rejection of reality. The results incl ...[text shortened]... y viable happy life alternative is the gradual enlightenment of an open mind.

Open vs closed, I think if we take a vote the concensus would be, closed.

#9. The tangible benefits of living out your entire lifetime with a closed mind are not many but few, but these few are apparently more than

enough. They include: (A) No effort whatsoever expended growing out of traumatic childhood experiences or getting past disillusionments

and disappointments of teenage years. (B) No need to reject any false information or cultural bias brainwashing foisted upon you early on.

You have the absolute freedom to hold all that stuff close, fingering it to death to your heart's content. (C) You're conveniently set free and

able to walk away from the most challenging and painful facet of the learning process... unlearning. Never was easy for the mind to let go.

#10. Conclusion:

All the truth concerning ultimate reality, regarding anything and everything under the sun, was out there before we were born and will still be

out there long after we're gone... to be apprehended, understood, assimilated. Open mind has a shot. Closed mind rejects it before the fact.
