The discussion begun elsewhere led me to this thread, and I have to state:
* There is a thrid way, which in the light of this thread would be to be open minded. Which is obviously not the same as being open to everything.
* I asked in the tertium quid thread if GB knew somebody walking that said third way and he pointed me here. But the people I see posting are not walking it.
* In fact it seems like describing humankind if GB rants on about closed minds. So maybe just teh human condition?

Closed minds are eventually subject to the onset and ravages of strong delusion. It's a common condition caused by rejection of reality. The results include moodiness, hypersensitivity, depression, bitterness, inappropriate behavior and bizzare posturing.
Ignorance can be corrected over time. Willful stupidity can't be taught. It's unteachable becaus y viable happy life alternative is the gradual enlightenment of an open mind.

I guess you need to define enlightenment too.

I mostly agree with you on #10, although I would lose 'ultimate' since reality is strong enough on it's own and 'under the sun' because it apllies to the whole universe.
