It would be odd if the weapons weren't technological in origin.
What about people that couldn't be bothered fighting?

Before you run away, do consider why all theist religions have their own version of an end times and if you're feeling up to it, come discuss your theory.
If not, another time perhaps.
I admit I am not up on all the various end time prophesies. The reason why they would differ would probably be mainly cultural. Racial, cultural, even geographical, possibly historical differences too. Meaning based on who they are, where they are, when they are. Peoples describe their end times in terms of the ways they describe themselves.
Just a few of my off-the-cuff thoughts on it.

Well, I think it probably stands to reason that humans, as a species, can feel something coming. Maybe they seek an answer as to why their particular deity allows evil to flourish in the world.

In this case it is also a warning to those who would hear.
After all, it is the Book of Revelation.
Originally posted by SuzianneThere is some dispute amongst theologians about the meaning of Revelation, more specifically about what is being revealed. my take is less on the the timeline for world destruction, and more on the revealing of Christ's divinty and lordship over all creation (Rev 1:8 is Christ speaking)
I agree.

Two questions about human nature: #1. What is it that makes us vulnerable to being deceived by people and things we love, such as our own home grown theories and often repeated opinions? #2. What is it that makes us question carefully and patiently, explore open ended possibilities methodically and with creative flexibility one day and the next day become bull dogmatic adamant about our doubts?
Originally posted by Grampy BobbyI reject the premise of your questions. Substitute "us" for "me", or "some people". "Us" means everyone, and I don't think all the evidence is in on that yet.
