Originally posted by Hand of HecateActually you are wrong, what I had removed is attacks on my Religion, by a few people, just doing so to instigate and incite me. They were not ALL REMOVED, and the Moderator had the final say on that.
Your little alerting vendetta makes me laugh. Do you really think you're doing any good?
On the subject of religion though, some of my posts where removed, perhaps with good cause. However, I have struggled with my spirituality for years. I find all organized religions to be hopelessly confused, corrupted, contradictory and just plain wrong. If away my friend as this post is every bit the equivalent of what you've already had removed.
I took the route of "alert Moderator", and "Send Feedback", rather than get into 20 pages of 'war of words', and wasted time, over a few people just trying to harass me
In this case you have given me your views, and did it in such a way you are not attacking me at all, with the exception of a few little potshots, that is very light taps for you. In fact I agree with alot of your second paragraph.
I think many mistakes were made in translation, and as you said, things changed to fit an era in history, & laws of that time. We can agree what we have now is not the original writtings. You showed respect by spelling God with an upper case "G". I would say all you did was give your opinion.
There is only one Religion that has a book with the original writtings in it. Do you know which Religion it is, and what the name of the book is?
You can laugh at my alerting posts that are disrespectful to a religion(s) if if you want, and that doesn't surprise me.
I think the good I may have done if any, is to let people know, there are some of us who will not stand by and watch others ridicule our religion, just for the sake of doing it, and to insult the people whos religion they make fun of. Where does it stop? Do we want to be known as the chess site, that lets people insult other peoples religion?
I am quite sure we don't, and I don't believe the Admins would want that either. In fact as certain posts were removed, I am sure of it!
Perhaps now that you have said what was on your mind, we can move on?

Of course, I've never felt that a decent shave has ever made me feel closer to God, or whoever your deity of choice may be. There are other bodily functions that may have done so - but never shaving.
