Spiders.
I know it's unrational, but for some reason I can't even kill them. I just run. And I've been chased around a Kibbutz by someone with a dustpan with a tarantula on it.
Obviously, the Gimp (as we called him), paid for it dearly.
Heights.
This is one quite rational. It's not even heights which scare me (ju ...[text shortened]... d to have 2 phobias, but since I've been frequenting the Spirituality forum...I have a third.
I used to be terrified by heights and spiders, especially spiders.
I conquered (mostly) my fear of spiders by staying in a local's hut in the jungle in Thailand which was infested with all manners of creepy crawlies.
I conquered my fear of heights through numerous (5) bungie jumps in 1 day, followed by a parachute jump from 10,000 feet a couple of days later.

I almost drowned when I was 7. I was in a pool with friends and family and parents all around. I was going around the edge of the pool when my hands slipped and I was in deep water (literally). I was only a foot or two under the water, but I didn't know how to swim. I remember just floating there looking up at the sky. Right before I passed out, my Dad grabbed me and dragged me out of the pool.
I'm afraid of heights (I get vertigo sometimes), and I'm also afraid of both failure and success. Go figure...

I have a friend who is afraid of clowns. Strange huh?
I have vertigo, especially whne looking up at the Tower of Terror (www.dreamworld.com.au/dw/dreamweb.nsf , go to rides and look at the Tower of Terror/Giant Drop. I eventually went on it, though), and when on top of a rollercoaster, I can't look down when ever I'm on the first dip.
For those of you too lazy, or can't understand my writing...
Tower of Terror
When you've got a need for speed, the only way to quench it is aboard one of the fastest, tallest rides in the world.
The Tower of Terror hits speeds of 160 kph and stretches an incredible 38 storeys straight into the air.
The Tower's electro-magnetically powered 'Escape Pod' accelerates its passengers to a world record 161km per hour in just 7 seconds. Hurtling from the metallic gloom of an 11-metre high skull into bright daylight, you'll be terrified as the track begins curving straight up the 115-metre tower. Once it's reached the top, take a second to admire the spectacular views before freefalling backwards all the way to the bottom of the tower!

Tower of Power - Really Fast Facts
The 2.2 megawatts of power used at take-off is enough to supply a small town and for these six seconds, Dreamworld's power usage in the park doubles.
Riders experience 6.5 seconds of weightlessness.
The 'L'-shaped track stretches 330 metres horizontally - or the equivalent of three football fields.
The ride is propelled by electro-magnetic forces.

Gah! I was lifting one leg, thinking that might help? Who knows. I felt something small bump my face, and there were my cigs floating in the air.
We got off that ride and went next to the 'Rocking Rollercoaster'. As my wife and I were walking they had a message on the PA saying 'heart condition, high blood preasure, motion sicknes... yadda-yadda'.
I pussed out and my wife went on it alone! The next day I didn't go on the tower again, but I did muster up the guts to go on rocking rollercoaster... It was a breeze. This only after I went on Space Mountain, and realized it was nothing like it was when I was a kid.

The elevator ride to get you back on the ground is slower than that. And it's only one story.
