Given limited resources, you could use the command line editor imagemagick to do the same for you, but the learning curve is a bit steeper.

If u don't use bridge how do you batch edit in PS? By choosing a folder as ur source?

I've only ever used Bridge to get thumbnail previews of PSD files when I'm looking for stuff.
