Edit: Turns out that it is.
Trivia: This was tried once before, in 2007, talks were underway to create a film adaptation starring Ellen Page with Heath Ledger directing. After Heath's untimely death in early 2008, the project was eventually canceled.

@suzianne saidFun fact (read rabbit hole) Stephen Amell who plays Green Arrow on the CW series here in the States is the co-founder of an amazing little Washington State winery named Nocking Point Wines. The wines are inexpensive (relatively) and well worth the time.
The Queen's Gambit was also the name of the yacht belonging to Robert Queen, whose son was Oliver Queen, AKA the Green Arrow.

I'm an admirer of Ellen Page's work.

Without spoiling the story, it's about a 9 year old girl orphaned and taken to an orphanage. She gets sent down to the basement where the old janitor is playing himself at chess.
Turns out she is a gifted, natural genius at the game.
Set in the early 60's.
