@cheesemaster saidHolding on to childhood friends is the trick.
"Friends" just end up asking for something or drag you into drama or worse so I'm content with a chess book and a beer...or 10 beers.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidIt is. I met my first friend when I was 4, she was 5, and we are still friends. She is as precious to me as she ever was.

@torunn saidOne would be very surprised how many names first or last or both over the years we come to know.
Maybe some of them were acquainted before they joined RHP?
That is something I would never give out as it is personal information.
I think my list would be at least as long as Divegeester maybe a little longer. He is much easier to get along with than I am no argument there from me.
I have Goad on ignore because he would send be a rude P.M. then put me on ignore so I couldn't answer it. I have lemon on ignore because he just became a pain the butt. Other than that or before them never had anyone on ignore.
I believe most on here get along with each other even if they have disputes and disagreements at times. As goad said, some we will never get along with just the way it is. This doesn't stop us from being respectful which I try to be the majority of the time, not always succeeding then my post gets removed as it should.
The few I did know in the real world passed on or just don't come on the site anymore due to other commitments.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI’ve not been able to do so, partly, mostly in fact, because I didn’t try. I have some warm memories of friendships from around the ages of 8-10. I remember at the time making a playground pact with a couple of friends that we would not grow older than we were on that very day.

Some might say I managed it 😂

@divegeester saidI would say that your vocabulary has most likely improved since those days! 😉

"I have Goad on ignore because he would send me a rude P.M. then put me on ignore so I couldn't answer it. I have lemon on ignore because he just became a pain in the butt."
Now that's funny 😆
@very-rusty saidI am, perhaps surprising to some here, very easy to get along with. But I’m also a bit of a psychopath and find it easy to shed acquaintances who disappoint. Sounds ruthless, and I suppose it is in a way. I might need help!

@divegeester saidThat's me you just described.

@very-rusty saidI know you like to repeat that misremembered account.

"You" sent me the unsolicited and rude PM. I replied telling you to 'Shove it" and then proceeded to block you.
You gained no moral high ground by blocking me in return.

@divegeester saidI am like that in the real world Dive. If someone does me dirty, I will always repay the favor and have nothing more to do with them ever. I have no problem doing it, just like I had never met them. I've always been that way.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidOk Mr. Trump you tell the story your way.
I know you like to repeat that misremembered account.

Makes no difference to me! 😛 😉

@cheesemaster saidI admit to a wave of amusement, knowing he penned a second rude PM and was then unable to send it.
Now that's funny 😆
(He also wasn't smart enough to realise the block was removed a day or two later).
@ghost-of-a-duke saidGosh, the wicked ways you deal with people 😮
