According to me?

I never called anyone out. Isn't that you, "naming names"?

Why do you think they are a "posse"?
Yes, according to you, the members of divegeester's clan had all "sold their souls". So, I listed the names of the people you are referring to. You also called them a 'posse".

A posse is after.me? No big deal, I'll ride north a ways, backtrack South to the river. Ride the river east until I see the lights of a border town. Home free

Wrong Mr Snowflake.

You've both done that. (Repeatedly).

You think that rating is impressive? Pretty routine as far as anyone who plays chess semi-seriously would know.

Not at all. I just know how you like to link ratings with intelligence, poke those with a lower rating.

Do you think it’s unusual that someone who’s been playing chess for 20+ years has a rating in the 900’s?

Not really that part of his brain never developed well! 🙂

He could learn he is just lazy I think, he is on the best Clan on the site or was for many years. Not the powerhouse they once were but still up there. Someone in the clan could tutor him.

What I find most alarming is he obviously enjoys playing chess - he’s a longtime member of a chess website and plays on a chess team.

So it’s not like chess is a hobby he doesn’t like or is not interested in. Or a hobby that he spends little time on.

You would think by sheer osmosis or even blind luck that his rating would be out of the triple digits. It’s like he’s losing games on purpose or playing blindfolded. Does he know only a few people play chess with a blindfold?

But FMF’s rating is really not much better.

It’s very puzzling.

Ghost gets people to thumb down my posts thinking it will upset me.

He is like a child really!

The gooster loves bickering in the forums he doesn't care about chess.

If you understood ratings, you'd know they're relative to the player's pool. A strong field of players means lower ratings. Take for instance *hess.com
The strongest players in the world play there. You name the Super GM, they're more than likely a member. The result? You get titled players with 1600 ratings
I've played an FM who was just over 1600. I've played 900 players there that we're pretty adept. So it's all relative
