English, parochial expression meaning absolutely anything you want it to mean. Derived from the 1950/60s TV program The Flower Pot Men which is now banned due to offending women and trans people due the gender biased title. Women are also offended as the character “Weed” is portrayed as female gender and seen as being supported between the flowerpots of the two male characters, Bill and Ben, who are clearly out of their boxes and can’t even talk properly. This also offended the religious anti cannabis communities who saw that “Weed” was a symbol of err… weed, and the program was inciting children to smoke pot. Environmentalists have also weighed in accusing the program of ignoring the importance of keeping a healthy garden with bee-hotels, the producers deny this and claim that the program wasn’t a real garden but a very small indoor studio, with puppets. “Everything is Sentient”, a minority pressure group defending the rights of anthropomorphised objects such as puppets, have glued themselves to each other in a disused warehouse in Bromley, Kent.
