One day I'll put something on tape and hear what it sounds like together. The start of the Brandenburg (3 I think) makes a good warm-up on the bass, lots of position shifts.
Now that we've got comfirmed organ aficionados, who wants to talk Bach?
As a bass player, I love Bach; Jack Bruce said he was "the guvner" of bass lines.

some people really are true lovers of bach's music.
they have developed a sweet ear for this and they do receive their just desserts!
they are known as bachlavas.

I'm going to try that one on my teacher today. She's originally from Moscow so it's dicey if she'll catch on. 😀
i have no doubt that the creator of this thread is most appreciative of what 3 of us have contributed recently even though he wished to talk primarily about organ music.
so being respectful of his wishes for this thread, i would like to comment how beautifully indeed bach's organ music does eternally unfold!
this is why it is such wonderful organami and can never be baroquen.

Right Bach at you. However, I will not tolerate continuol violins being done to my thread, and so request that you Bach off, too, or you'll find yourself a fuguetive from justice 😉.
so i will try to pursue a different invention.
i only wish i could have posted my efforts canonymously.
