I'm in with or without a theme. A theme is challenging but then just writing anything is a challenge!

My vote...is there one?...goes with my suggestion but then that's not surprising. I am becoming a bit "Trumpian".

I like the idea of Escape. It's broad enough to encompass a lot of possibilities.

How about a broad theme of 'making the best of things.' (Overcoming adversity).

just floating an impossible thought

i think i'll attempt, as it's prolly going to be impossible for me to do, but i shall write a mystery story encrypted
part of reading and understanding the story will be the decryption of said story

of course, now that i've revealed the deceptistory, the ghost will collude with the flash and my efforts will be dashed

i weep for my failure

I had the privilege of choosing the theme last time, and I didn't participate. I agree with Goad's suggestion 'Escape'.
