Not at all, read the thread I was quoting and replying to.
So what you're saying is that Red Night is the "adult" and the minorities are the "kids"?

That's precisely what I find objectionable.

What are you on about???

He was implying that it is wrong of me to stick up for someone sufering abuse.

I gave an example of where it wouldn't be.

If you have a problem with it, please report me.

Thanks.

the funny thing is, the two (black) african members of my extended family don't count such irrelevant banter racism as you do. they tend to focus on the getting beaten, refusal of service or employment because of the color of their skin -type of things. you know, things that actually matter.

The only racist I am seeing here is saffa73 with his ill conceived ideas, seeing racisim in everything just because someone else is white.

Suppose Crowley was black! Perhaps he is! Would his remarks have been considered racist then?

But some do, so let's deal with them whilst they are small, much easier.

I'm South African. Not sure what that has to do with Mugabe???
Well, well, well.

So, what colour IS your skin, buddy?

Fair enough, point taken.

I have a chip on my shoulder?? Yes, because I'm Black and I'm sick to death of people making racist comments and jokes in public places. OK!

YESSSS!!!!!!

Why is there this pre-conception that only white people can make racist jokes about black people?????

Or vice versa????

If the word n****r for example is racist or offensive, then it is racist or offensive, REGARDLESS of whether it is being used by a Black person or a White person.

I've already stated my reasons for saying I was Black in the quoted thread.

See above.

Thanks.

Makes no difference anyway. i still find the original comment offensive.

Funnily this immediately resulted in my receiviong an apology from someone who a minute before was tearing my head off because I was White.
Who? Like a lot of things, I'm not seeing what you are.
