As your Doctor, I recommend an immediate regimen of self fornication.
Everyone forget I talked about this in the first place.
Thank you.

So I exercise four times a week. I started taking vitamin D and I eat lots of fish. I don't drink a lot, I have a regular routine, I'm not depressed! Still, this winter is bumming me out. I keep fantasizing about camping, grass, leaves on trees, grilling, the lake, riding with the windows open.
I even sat out on my deck for 15 minutes staring in the di ...[text shortened]... nd over and it's bumming me out.
And I know I'm drinking way too much coffee lately.

Originally posted by Sunburnt50% of vitamin D comes from sunlight (you need sunlight to "activate" it in your body). So you can swallow all the bloody vitamin D you want, but if you live in Scotland, you're screwed.
I just feel like I am repeating the same day over and over and over and it's bumming me out.
I get that feeling all the time too, by the way.
Then I realise that I am basically working to come home to watch TV to go to bed to get up to go back to work to finance this bloody monotony.
But don't worry, you'll die one day. You're just gonna have to sit it out like the rest of us.
Right. Where's ma Whisky?

I live in New Hampshire, USA, I'd feel at home in Scotland, I'm sure.
Originally posted by SunburntI used to work night shift 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and it messed me up also. I used to come home Sunday morning and stay up all that day so I could be awake during the day on my weekend. I never really felt rested....ever.
I've known people who work 2nd and 3rd shift and they are really messed up folks 😉.
You should try the tanning booth, it does help, thought it is very temporary. Usually only lasts a day.
I like to plant garden seeds inside in February, then I get to think about spring and all the green plants coming up. Tomatoes and Peppers are good to start early in little pots.
If you come out west, I will take you snowboarding on the snow filled sunny slopes of the Rocky Mountains, that will cure you!
I hope you feel better soon!
