Looked good though, from what little i saw. I think im going to go to bed now.....Good night RHP......Good night Jon boy.....😴😴

Good, this is how I view any movie. It will NEVER be as good as I hope. It will suck.
Let's put it into perspective... Star Wars 2 was great! The only one I did not see in the theater. I liked it, since I heard it sucked SO BAD.
I look forward to this movie stinking...

"films are never as good as the book...blah blah blah."
OH REALLY?
So, how does one compare a written object to a projected object on a screen? I don't hear people saying: "The davinci code isn't as good as the Mona Lisa.", do you?
Basically because they're two completely different mediums. One is a book, the other is a painting. If you prefer paintings (or well written books, as a matter of fact), then NO, you are not going to like the book as much as the painting. Are you?
And so books and films are two very different mediums as well. Yes, they both tell a story, but they tell it in completely different ways. They cannot be mutually exclusive, because they are so different in nature.
I loved Star Wars II as well.

Oh, watch out, don't stray off HG2G, Arrakis will add you to his ignore list.

I don't believe Pulp Fiction was a book-to-film adaptation...Pulp Fiction is a genre of books, but not a book itself.

Difficult humour to convey on the big screen but they did okay. About what I expected.
Afterall it's very rare for a film to be as good/ better than the book; blade runner is the only one i can think of.
Plus Zooey Deschanel (Trillian) was excellent.

The director and almost all of the cast are British. This is a UK production financed by American money, nothing new in that. I've yet to see it, I won't pay to see it at the cinema as I am expecting it to be disappointing, I'll rent it on DVD and watch it casually.
