Seasonings to Use on a Lamb

Seasonings to Use on a Lamb

General

What I like to do with a hind roast is take the bone out and replace the inners with stuffing from the supermarket(mix with water). Makes slicing easy and the stuffing is mixed in with each cut infused with the lamb juices.

I understand but if people want to eat meat, someone's got to kill and dress it. Having worked in the meat business myself but not kill floor I was able to handle it. I've seen kill floor action many times, not my cup of tea. IMO veal and froi gras or whatever fatted good liver is called is inhumane. Both are put so they can't move, geese have a funnel inserted in the throat ...[text shortened]... leg with their throats slit bleeding to death.
But yeah, glad I just removed bones from carcasses.
Great post. Gave it a thumbs up.

I've worked the same and the Somalians had to face mecca when they slit the hanging cows throat. Pretty dangerous work.

Our local big beef plant JBS had labor problems with mostly Somali employees. They would wash their hands in the drinking fountain, they wanted extra breaks for prayer etc
I believe JBS won the judgement. About 10 years ago we had a flood of Somali immigrants. My neighborhood went from 90% Hispanics to 50% Somali. Now there's a lot of Micronesians. Same at JBS and other local plants.

I'm not sure why someone would thumb down your post. You simply told it the way it is.

EB, do you think religious slaughter is inhumane? I've only watched one video where it looked more humane than most stick only kill. It was from another country where roll over boxes are allowed. Where the animal enters, is held in place by pnurmatic arms etc, then the whole box rotated, the throat was cut And the animal was decapitated all at once. At least that animal didn't hang by one leg bleeding to death. It was brutal AF looking
The animal was on it's back then SLASHO! the head was barely attached and the blood all gushed out in a few squirts.
Roll over boxes aren't allowed at all in the US.

Yeah, I think it's inhumane with the cow hanging by 1 leg in obvious distress. Kind of like Islam's treatment of gays.
