If you look up and see the Mother Ship, maybe there are 'others' on board with Minister Farrakhan. Resistance is futile. They have invincible ignorance on their side. ( I know that this distorts the meaning of the phrase, but it just seems to fit.)

BTW, 20 LY is plenty close enough to have already detected any sign of electromagnetic emissions by radio telescopes but they will probably take a closer look now. Just think, if there are aliens, they are watching our TV broadcasts of President Reagan. Scary, eh.
Ah, checking history, specifically, they would have just found out about President Reagans prostrate operation.

Edit: Or maybe it was due to the screaning of the stars light... I don't know how they did it to this planet but those are the normal technics.
