This is all Star Trek's fault. Aliens are supposed to be scary, skinny, green, monster-like things. Not sexy.
And anyways, if it's good enough for Shatner, it's good enough for me!

I now fully believe in aliens having visited us. It all makes sense now. Just
because we can't travel the speed of light doesn't mean aliens from another
planet can't. Only twenty years here, study us, twenty years back. Oh, and
they live 200 years each so it's not so bad for them. Excellent.
I think it's time we stop worrying about muslims taking o ...[text shortened]... at
all those fanatic Christians are all about? Hmm... 😕
Makes you think, doesn't it?

They are here because their sun is dying.
Don't forget, we tend to think of our sun as a run of the mill star but in the big picture, it is in the top 5% of star sizes. So 95% of all stars are actually smaller than Sol. And in only 3-4 billion years, our planet will be fried by the bloated red giant it will become by then since it will be about 200 million miles across and since our orbit is only 186 million miles across we will be in deep doo doo, meanwhile Gileise will still be ticking along the same as now.

(While getting ready for Jesus, might as well get ready for aliens too. Remember Sodom & Gomorrah!)

1) 95% of stars are smaller than our own sun.
It's my understanding that this is entirely wrong.
2) the red dwarf star will outlast our sun.
Again, it's my understanding that a red dwarf was once a star like our own sun and that eventually our sun will become a red dwarf star.
