It's a sad state of affairs when some scumbag steals your motorbike on new year's day. I love my motorbike. It's a part of me. I've reported it to the police but i doubt very much i'll see it again.
I'm annoyed at myself because i didn't chain it up over night. I can't get in touch with my insurers. I'm not sure if i'm covered. Any of you guys know?

It wasn't me!

If you had 'third party, fire and theft' or 'fully comp' insurance you should be covered - don't tell them it wasn't chained up - in fact tell 'em it was.

sorry for your loss friend, so much for goodwill to all at this time of year huh 😞

when i was a kid (about 12 or 13) i had my pushbike stolen on xmas day (possibly xmas eve but i noticed it was missing on xmas day) and was totally gutted. my best mate had got a bike from 'santa' that year and came round so we could both go out for a bit. instead i spent xmas day wasting my time describing the bike to the police, never seen it again :'(

hope you have better luck than i did

Touchy hum? If you want advice on insurance I suggest you get out your policy and read the small print! 'Cos we can't! And, actually, I drive a very fast and sophisticated and luxurious car; that's fully comp and I don't give a toss where I park, nor do I have to chain it up like a dog!

sounds like you're trying to overcompensate for something that isn't so 'big' 😲

Parking in Liverpool you can't give a toss for your car so I doubt it is either fast or expensive.

Down here in a decent part of the country my car feels safe in its garage every night.

That my friend, is called fraud.

Lying to insurance companies will not only fail to get your claim paid out but could also get you prosecuted. Insurance companies tend to take this seriously and will make an example of perpetraters.

Shows your southern lack of knowledge about your own country then doesn't it twot! You still have misguided images of Liverpool? Go do one. You have no idea!

I don't feel a need to boast about my car, my house or my business.

That is because I do not need to do so as I am not a "twot".
