Very nice. very very nice.
To be overly critical, I thought the contrast on the furthest white horse slighly lost the differentiation of pieces over there (nose in front of rook, bishop's 'coller' in front of horse), and the near white bishop's head-slit could be emphisied a bit, but talk about nit picking eh? Oh, and the head's of the white pawns seem more like clear glass c.f. the major pieces which are more obviouslt frosted.
The black pieces in deep shadow are very cool: I like the idea of white in the light, balck in shadow as it is structured.
Wow, cheers everybody! ๐
I was thinking of softening the edges of the spotlight, but I want to make the light seem obvious, as Toe said, the white in light, the black in dark... with the softened edges it just looks, well... not the same ๐
Oh, and kw72uk, have it! Art's for sharing not for copyrighting.
Originally posted by kw72ukYeah, well, the black pieces would be the most expensive part. I already have a set of frosted glass pieces, I think. My brother has a set of abstract pieces, which look nothing like chess pieces at all. Whenever I use them I have to say which one is the queen and which one is the king.
Thanks Dreamlax.
Your chess set would obviously cost a fair bit to make.
Does anyone know what the most expensive chess set in the world is? I don't but I'd be interested to know....
I can't say I'm a big fan of novelty chess sets. I often forget what peices are what (unless it's well designed).

I can re-render the whole thing in any resolution you want. Different angles, hell, if you want the Kings Gambit I can do that too!
Now taking requests ๐
Tweek the lighting cool, and give me a nice angle.
Thanks.
