i have a virus on my pc..a backdoor trojan. i've tried everything to get shut but it's still there...I called up someone to come and fix it...he's charging £30..am i getting ripped off or is that the going rate?
Of course you could get rid of it yourself. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date, then scan and find the virus, and try to fix/quaranteen it. If you have decent anti-virus software, that should work. The next best option is to type the trojan name into google, and you should get some good results, which detail step by step manual removal of the trojan.
If you need help finding those instructions, post the name of the trojan here.
