There is another antivirus you could download and it is free, Trend Micro, they do a free scan of your computer and remove any infection. I had some trouble with mine a couple of years ago and Norton would not remove the virus but Trend Micro did. Worth a bash anyway.
Try these:
Sygate Personal Firewall Pro
AVG Anti-virus (free, updates every 24 hours)
Spy Sweeper
The Proxomitron (free)
You can get all the above for f**e, if you use a bit of nous.

my norton can't get rid of it and it is all updated..i've tried that already. The alert that appears on my screen is Backdoor.Trojan virus definition 200504060008...
I've tried going into my registry but can't find the file ...🙁
A friend of mine decided to start making house calls for 1/4 less than the computer companies charge you to take your computer in, and he doesn't format the hard drive - he saves all the data when possible.
As you can imagine, he's working from 8:00 am till midnight EVERY DAY with backed up customers.
Originally posted by arrakisi had no clue what the charge was for these kind of things but yes i believe now i am getting a good deal..simialr kind of thing i think..just an ad in the local paper, free call out. i'll never bother with norton again anyway...

Originally posted by wucky3Can I suggest AVG, free, supported, easy to use and it doesn't use as much system resource as Norton. Nor does it crash and stall and look like it was made by a child with a penchant for yellow.
yes..i have a firewall and that usually blocks most things so I'm not sure how this happened..i won't be renewing my subscription with Norton though..I'll download a freebie
