I grew up in a different place just about every year when I was younger. We moved 11 times by the time I hit 5th grade. I didn't really have a best friend until I was in the 10th grade.
That person is still my best friend, almost 32 years later. We usually don't go more than a few weeks without getting in touch with each other. I think that given my antisocial leanings, it is ironic that my best friend today is the same one from early high school. Thinks about it, are you still best friends with yours from over 30 years ago? (Spouses don't count 😛)

That one is a woman who has been my friend for about 23 years. We have been friends and support through good and bad times, marriages, divorces and had our first babies within 9 weeks of each other. We always get together at least twice a week. 🙂
Everyone should have a best buddy.
