James felt his eyes being forced open by invisible fingers, and screamed as the levitating knife slowly forced it's way into his right eye, making it pop a gooey mess across his cheek. The knife held by invisible hands raised again, aligned itself with his left eye and lowered again. James held down by invisible bonds could do nothing to stop the knifes descent.
The police found him like that some 10 minutes later, having been called by a neighbour concerned by the shrill screams from inside number 9 and the first responder only just managed to run outside to throw up into the hedge at the sight of the knife buried up to the hilt in James's left eye socket.
(Sorry, first chapter - I tend towards the jollier stories)
