Due to minor technical difficulties and public holidays, long legged women, tall icy beverages, and an overwhelming desire to test my pillow's comfortableness repeatedly, the red hot pawn prose competition number 3 will only appear in a forum near you tomorrow. Meanwhile, if you're bored, write something for the red hot pawn prose competition number 4. Entries are due on 20 May.

If people want my reasoning, I'll give it after the voting has closed.
The first thing I do when I read a wee story is read it out loud. It should flow.
The second thing(s) I like in a story is humour, a twist, a plot, a raw emotion.
No Salvation:
I just loved the way reality contrasted with the imagination. It struck a chord with me.
Voodoo Hoodoo:
short, sharp and to the point. Proof that bigger things aren't always better.
Nameless...faceless:
Probably the best written of the lot. The subject didn't just quite grab my imagination as the previous 2 did though. But I thought all entries had good points about them.
Under cover of the night:
I think that if you like Tolkienesque descriptions of surrounding areas and how feet pad on grass this will be right up your alley. I thought it little long winded.
Fight at the mess:
Again, less to do with the writing, but more to do with my personal taste in stories.
All in all though I thought all entries did really well. There are obviously some very good writers on the forum!
Originally posted by Tirau DanTBH, I didn't really like the subject material of your entry. It was well written, but ultimately, I stuggled to read it purely due to a complete lack of interest in the subject.
No feedback or replies so whats the point?
Do you go to a book club and sit with arms folded mmm?
Rather flack than silence....
As for the question you asked me about my entry, I thought of it one night lying in bed stoned, and then wrote it in about an hour the next night.
