I’m not sure that filtering Bond movies by whether or not they are each based on an “original” Fleming book, would provide the level of segmentation you might be looking for!
Still, if I get the chance to see Casino Royale after all, I will. (After all, I've already seen the other one 🙂 )

@shallow-blue saidI still like Fleming's books over the movies. Casino Royale was the first book in the series, and still worth a read. Read it after seeing the movie, so you're not disappointed in the movie. Follow it up in order with Live and Let Die and then Moonraker, which are both vastly better than the movies.
