No idea what it's called in Canadian English.
Edit: My explanation was typed too late. I am too slow.
@kevin-eleven saidYes, I believe it is also called mini-golf here in Canada. Stees, would know more about it than I would as he is a long time golfer.

@very-rusty saidI gather that Stees is more of a real golfer who prefers the wide-open fairways and putting greens sans whimsical decorations.

@earl-of-trumps saidI don't remember having to wear protective gear when I played miniature golf . . .

@kevin-eleven saidPlay with kids…protective gear will, as you’ll find out, be an absolute necessity, unless you decided that no more kids were in your future.😲ðŸ¤ðŸ˜‰

@great-big-stees saidI'm a single gay man of 62 with no kids (that I know of -- j/k), who might croak sometime in the next few years or decades, or who might live for centuries or millennia (considering possible med-tech advances).

But so far I never thought of myself having kids. I understand that many people have kids because that's what mammals of Earth do, often encouraged by whatever cultural template they must endure because of poor timing re: their own incarnation.
And looking ahead a few aeons into my own probability clouds, it just doesn't seem like a good idea in my case.
@kevin-eleven saidWell of course, but we can't exactly offer him all that here at the pub. We have miniature golf, bocci, lawn darts, horseshoes.

@kevin-eleven saidOne of the best dates I ever had was a great meal followed by an arcade with pinball and video games followed by a couple rounds of go-cart racing, topped off with 18 holes of mini-golf. We had so much fun and I ended up dating him for over a year. Good times.

@suzianne saidI still date my wife with stuff like this, especially mini-golf and arcade games. We will often lose an hour playing air hockey.

@kevin-eleven saidSome children can be a wonderful blessing for some people, but your better off without them I feel. We decided, every year in fact, not to have kids and have enjoyed the liberation of that choice. It’s not as though our species is under threat through lack of numbers.

@divegeester saidAir hockey was one of my favs.

@divegeester saidI've finally decided to do the tubal ligation thing later this year. I'm not bringing a kid into this country so full of hate. Granted, it's probably too late to do it if I did want a kid, but adoption is always a choice to bring love to a child who was not wanted. I don't think I've ever been the mothering type. Way too busy.

@suzianne saidA good decision unless you really want and feel ready for a family. As you say, adoption is a possibility. The ideal situation of course is two parents sharing the joy and responsibility.
