@the-gravedigger saidYeah, baby! That's the spirit, t-g
I have just been to the dentist for a filling. She said don't eat for 2 hours but nothing about not drinking. So, large wodka please.

@great-big-stees saidIt’s been three or four years since I’ve had chickens, also because of many other predators around. If I remember right he/she was bigger, little taller with more bulk muscle than a crow and really hooked beak. It was brown and darker brown little thicker around the head? It was only maybe six feet away due to height looking up at me laughing as I watched from my bathroom window. Figured might as well let it eat the chicken was already gone and their protected.
It may have been a stoat and not a bird of prey.🤔👍
@mike69 saidKinda, a little bit Funny thing happened today, I was swinging my granddaughter and she pointed up and asked “what’s that papa”, I looked up and it was a hawk flying way above searching for prey.

@mike69 saidA while back, while doing the dishes in the sink (I find it relaxing) as I stared out the window, out of the corner of my eye I saw an explosion of feathers. Turned out to be a Merlin attacking a morning dove. The dove managed to escape though with less feathers.😲

@mike69 saidOk red thumb, their not very common at all around here for me to see one much less while discussing them😉= Kinda, a little bit Funny thing happened today🥱.

@great-big-stees said😲, I’ve never seen that one. 🤔 I bet the dove lost more than a few feathers😁. I’ve only seen something like that when the crows were eating my chickens😉. Worst encounter I had here was when I first bought this place to turn it was vacant a really long time so there was more wildlife around. I was out standing by an old barn on my property and a mountain lion walked by me around 30 feet away making a weird sound and came to find out it had cubs in the barn I didn’t own right over the fence another 30 or 40 yards away. I didn’t even know we had them, my neighbor down the hill went out his front door and it was standing in front of him in his yard and backed back in slowly.

@great-big-stees saidThe way technology is progressing, we might be able to "adopt" wingèd stoats at the local pet shop sometime in the next few years.

@mike69 saidYou did hold on tight to your granddaughter, I hope!

@mike69 saidHave the crows over there seemed bossier and more aggressive the last few years?

I have lived in the same town in north Florida for more than three decades and still have my hearing and other senses, and it seems to me the crows have become bossier and more aggressive recently.
What's up with the crows? I have never had any interest in crow eggs, crow meat, or making blackbird pies.
@great-big-stees saidIt's not easy being a Merlin, you know -- but that's no excuse for my ill-managed combative tendencies and their regrettable sequelae.

I do hope the dove is okay.
@the-gravedigger saidI hope the dentist has a large bucket ready in case your filling comes out.

@mike69 saidNo, it's from growing up gay in America during the times that I did.
Maybe this suspicious feeling is because you have more than one account?
I learned to live like a spy even within my own family.
Plus I have the Sun in Scorpio and Capricorn rising, with Saturn just below the Ascendant.
And I also saw "The Ipcress File" and "How I Spent My Summer Vacation" when I was a kid.
Never ended up serving in intelligence, though. I don't have the nerves for that.
