@Torunn saidI say we open another Tavern in Paris. We could call it “The Tavern of the Seine”🤔😁👍
I have been to Paris once, many years ago, and it was a charming city in many ways, with lots to see and do. I don't speak French and natural encounters with people are more difficult as the French don't have English so available. Much gets lost that way.

@Great-Big-Stees saidOr another choice would be "The Tavern of the Inn-Seine".

@Great-Big-Stees saidI will be having friends over for canasta in an hour or so. In the meantime, I would love a glass of sparkling, please.

@Torunn saidYour wish is my command…but only one. You must have your wits about you, what with Canasta being the game that it is.👍😉

@Great-Big-Stees saidI learned it from watching my parents play with our neighbours, they were all very good, and used to make a break for a light meal after a few hours. No wine though, just beer - wine had not yet been introduced in working/middle class families.

@Torunn saidI learned the game from my grandmother and she enjoyed a glass of wine when we played. I was given ginger ale as I was a youngster.😁

@Great-Big-Stees saidWould like us to believe you never snuck a sip when Grandma wasn't looking? 🙂
