I have been to Paris once, many years ago, and it was a charming city in many ways, with lots to see and do. I don't speak French and natural encounters with people are more difficult as the French don't have English so available. Much gets lost that way.

We could do that, and we could open one in Manhattan where I would want to be - Lower East Side, Tribeca, Greenwich Village or Soho.

I learned it from watching my parents play with our neighbours, they were all very good, and used to make a break for a light meal after a few hours. No wine though, just beer - wine had not yet been introduced in working/middle class families.

I learned the game from my grandmother and she enjoyed a glass of wine when we played. I was given ginger ale as I was a youngster.😁
