If the world ever moves to the EURO, the US dollar is toast.
It would never happen. Everytime anyone even begins to think about selling oil for Euro's America invades them. Hence all countries need to hold a reserve of Dollar's, that is as long as they want to buy oil.

Utter nonsense. OPEC nations gleefully trade oil for Euros with no fear of US intervention.

Wipe your chin off.

I was referring to my lack of faith in any banks in the world at this moment - including, as a priority, US Banks! Most world banks are not declaring their bankrupcy - But you can bet your bottom $$$ that they are all virtually, or on the point of being, bankrupt! The governments all over are having to guarantor the banks themselves - what does that say for tax payers' money and stability all over? Not much, I don't think. { except if you're a bank worker - it means you'll get a thick bonus every three months, as long as the bank stays afloat and meets its government repayment target! 😉 }

Echoes my sentiments, Mike. Globally, things are teetering and fragile beyond belief.

85 year old lady with end stage emphysema. Severly mentally retarded. No family. Almost completely unresponsive. The state is her guardian, thus making healthcare decisions on her behalf. She lives in a nursin ...[text shortened]... e elderly of this country have a duty to die." Richard Lamb, former governor of Colorado
Are you concerned about:

1) Quality of life for this person?
2) The expense?
3) Hitler didn't get a chance to finish the job?
4) You are (currently) far healthier than this person and feel compelled to bring this persons life to an end?

These matters are best left to whichever God you worship, unless your God is money.

"The elderly have a duty to enjoy as much of life as they can, and should be helped to live as long as they can, and share the results of their endeavours with those that will listen or not if they so choose." Woodgie, former Council Groundsman.

I thought I gave a thoughtful response. If I had not, it might have sounded like this: 1) Trip to the emergency room $750 2) Treatment in the emergency room $8,000. 3) Bullet to the head 50 cents.

When you say these matters are "best left to whichever God you worship", what does that mean? God doesn't change bedpans.

Your God might not, you might want to change to mine, I obviously get better mileage.

I once promised God that if he got me out of a bit of mess I found myself in, involving a freak, a pair of pliers and a gun, I would do whatever he wanted from me. I ended up cleaning bed pans and proud to have done so.

This intrigues me. How did God tell you about wanting you to change bedpans? Was that the best he could do for you?

Let us focus. This is not about religiosity, euthenasia or some other esoteric discussion of life but the dollar. I contend; A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money and that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a congress.

Some old people are in such horrible shape that they are a money pit. If they were a house, you would never consider buying them or fixing them. You would tear it down. Better?

I was talking about the dollar. Are you so dense as to not believe that healthcare cost have no bearing on the deficit which in turn has a bearing on the value of the dollar?

Dense, I am dense in knowledge much to your dismay as if you could read this thread you might have come across this comment!

Hillary screamed government health care, BHMO says the same now. - If people think health care is expensive now wait till the cost is free

Does that assuage your angst?
