Q. 'Why is there something rather than nothing?'
Q: Last night the national broadcaster showing the Germany v Northern Ireland game joined it 15 minutes late in order to screen 15 long minutes of adverts (many repeated 3-4 times) for which they were probably charging an unusually prime rate for exposure to an unusually large audience expecting to catch the beginning of the game which was advertised as starting at 2300 hours. When the coverage did start, it began with the kickoff and then the first time the ball went out of play, the game jumped forward 15 minutes with no explanation. Does this constitute broadcasting malpractice in your view?
