I think it's extremely sad that what could have been a good thread idea has been purposefully manipulated by certain forum combatants to: 1) attempt to put down other posters, and when that didn't have the intended effect, then to 2) ignore all answers and new questions from said posters. I haven't participated here because I ...[text shortened]... t nearly as stupid as some people hope they are.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread. 🙂
But isn't it more "fun" to have a thread, like lava, move in unexpected ways rather than be like so many other threads in other forums, just regurgitating the same thing over ad infinitum?

A: Yes, I agree. This has been a relatively fun thread. There's no need for self-anointed forum police to come in and try to score points with reprimands, declarations of disapproval, or by re-posting the OP. People should embrace the diversity.

A: Don't forget it's "Mother" Nature so maybe it's spite.

Q: Why do we have to wait for 30 minutes after the last bit of lightening before it's "safe" to go outside without the threat of being, maybe, hit by it?

A: Good grief. I've never thought about that. I shall add it to my list of terrible things that just might happen to me and that I ought to worry about more.

Q: When the utility of two-ended toothpicks has been established so clearly, why does the market continue to make one-ended toothpicks available and what is the matter with the people who buy them?

A: Nothing. It's a situation started by the raw material (wood) suppliers of the toothpick industry. Having two ended toothpicks would half their amount of raw material sold this, potentially halving their bottom line.

Q:Why is it that so many zookeepers forget that the animals they tend are often only a generation or two removed from the wild and as such are likely, when they least expect it, to turn on them, and often with deadly results?

A. Familiarity which in context breeds lack of precautionary safety procedures. (great question which deserves being revisited)

A: Not sure. But maybe you yourself should reflect upon this question.

A: Maybe the with-animals equivalent of "going native".

I answered your question, which I copied verbatim from your OP. I then asked a question of my own. So what is your issue?
