@ghost-of-a-duke saidThere is no poverty in Cuba. There hasn't been poverty in Cuba since 1959.
I almost went Cuba and then thought, nah, can't be.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidThat was what the US wanted you to believe of course!
That's surprising, as I thought the embargo imposed by the US would have led to widespread poverty.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI suppose the issue here isn't whether or not there is widespread poverty but how far below the breadline the poorest of the poor are allowed to fall. The information will be riddled with disinformation. The left (and pro Cuba) would not want to emphasize people are generally poor. The right (and pro U.S.) would not want to emphasise that a poor country could have a better safety net for the poorest of the poor. So light the fuse and let's get tribal!!

@ghost-of-a-duke saidNext February will be the 11th time my wife and I will have vacationed there (Cuba). Ya think we love it? 🤔

@wolfgang59 saidIm impatient so checked after posting, couldn't find a definitive answer on 2 of them but Im sure the ski resort is easier to work out than my Google maps.
In true Pub-Quiz style I do not have the definitive answers.
But I'm pretty sure on 3 out of 4.
I'll research the fourth and post answers within 24 hours.
Thanks for playing.
@great-big-stees saidI'm absolutely sure you both do. Only a few months left... 🙂
