Try it without the shades,man.
In January I visited 3 towns in the Midlands. All 3 were looking dirty and run down. There were a lot of shops that were closed down or run by charities.I know these towns for years and they ALL are looking very shabby compared to ,say,20years ago.
Sorry to be a nuisance. ๐Ÿ˜€
When I visited Milton Keynes in the 1980s, it was already looking shabby. I wonder what it looks like now.

Brexit, of course, didn't happen 20 years ago.
Who's talking about Brexit? It's bad enough already.

Milton Keynes has built in designer shabbiness.

I thought Brexit was to blame for everything (including lumpy cushions and ingrowing toenails).

Yeah, it showed even when it was new.

A particular dialect was spoken there, known as slob-speak. Is that still current or has it gone the way of the Sloans?

You will make a very good tory politician if your plan works out.
Northern Ireland is a poor area compared to practically anywhere in England. It was fine.

The UK is not as rich as Germany. We do have shabby areas. Just go to Slough or Paisley or Ferguslie Park.

The longer ago something was in time, you look at it through rosy coloured glasses.
