I am sitting in my rocking chair, with my feet on a gym ball and my laptop on my lap, and a cup of tea on the table next to me. It's dark outside, and I have closed the blinds many hours ago, but when it was still light, the view was like this: http://home.online.no/~khgott/20082402-11.jpg
It sounds like it's snowing again, or possibly raining. My flat is messy, but with some nice things to look at, for example my calendar with Japanese calligraphy or a photograph of a beautiful sunset. I have the radio on and am currently listening to Sibelius' violin concerto.

It's a little bit worrying, particularly as in another thread someone said how they mistook their .50 for a glass of G & T and put it in their mouth...

Actually your post reminded me of this composition by Alvin Lucier, so I decided to post the text from it here just for grins. I was curious to see if anyone would recognize it.

There's a link to the original performance at the bottom, though it requires patience to listen to it. I'm guessing that pretty much leaves out anyone from the "MTV Generation" 🙂

As for myself I sit upon my sofa with the laptop on my laptop.
The gray light from outside floods through the window and bounces off the shiny hardwood floors.
I stare at the floor and the light pulls me in and makes me think of childhood.
My 4 month old baby girl squeals at the television which
shakes me from m ...[text shortened]... o the brick fireplace and speaks to me.
There was just something about it so I had to buy it.

Abstract grammar never appealed to me.
