i think that there is a lack of housing, but i don't think that building new houses is the best solution. what about redeveloping these areas?
i've not got time to discuss this at the moment though-i'm up early tomorrow. but i'll look into it some more after work. yay work!...😞

... and not a drop to drink. Dunno if you heard about the flood we have going on over here in the UK, mostly in the north. Ironically I'm in the south and we've been without water for 2 days now (some generator issue or something)
1st time I've ever been without, ya don't know how much you miss something until ya don't have it.
Ah well, guess we'll just have to live off beer and wine down in the pub
These are some of the photos I have of my area.

The post that was quoted here has been removedThere is a road that most of the public transport use around here to get into Sheffield, it has a steep banking on one of the sides, this has totally given way and the road has collapsed.
It will be out of service for over a month...there having to divert around it. 😞
I wish I could show pictures of that, but they've closed off the road and it's a long walk from here...🙁
Originally posted by Bad wolfSorry about your situation wolfie, especially after having lived through a similar situation 4 years ago. I will pass along to you a pearl of wisdom one of my friends shared with me while I was dealing with the rising waters. He was quoting a story by the comedian Bill Cosby on a conversation between God and Noah when Noah had a disagreement with Him about all of the work he had been doing and how everyone was making fun of him for building an ark and gathering up all of the animals while there was no rain in sight. Noah tells God he is quitting the job because he looks like an idiot. Then God says, "Noah, how long can you tread water?" While I wasn't in a real laughing mood about it at the time, the more I thought about it, the funnier it got because I realized that I had no control over what was happening and I simply had to ride it out. You will have to do the same, hopefully your damages will be minimal compared to mine, but if it is as severe and you lose everything but your life, it can all be replaced. Good luck to you.
