speaking of which, have you heard of a band from Ontario called 'Sons of Otis'?
Originally posted by StarrmanVery well, thanks. I got to play with and meet one of my all-time favourite guitarists (Duane Denison of The Jesus Lizard and Tomahawk). He even gave me his card and told me to give him a call if I'm ever in Nashville. How nice. Too bad he was probably just talking sh-t.
Grantchester Meadow - Pink Floyd (Ummagumma)
Hey Darv, I forgot to ask, how did the gig go?
We're taking a break from shows to finally get around to doing some proper recording. I think we're going to be setting up a home studio at our drummer's place. He's got all the gear, software, know-how, etc. so we figured we'd just save some cash. We do have a big show in March though where we're getting the Friday night headlining set at the Horseshoe (you lived in Toronto, right? Do you know the place?). Things are moving along nicely considering that will be just our 5th show so far.
Nice, we're into the studio on the 26th, which I'm dreading. The rest of the band have voted to do the three most difficult tunes for me to play π
Can't say I know it, but I was only a kid when we were there so not surprising. Can you video it? I'd love to see you guys do your thing.
