Just finished up On off On by Mission of Burma. Highly satisfying played in this high-pressure environment blasted at too great a volume. πŸ˜€

speaking of which, have you heard of a band from Ontario called 'Sons of Otis'?

I am trying to imagine what the numbskull, Blindfaith101 looks like and I'm trying to imagine what he sounds like when he goes off on his Bible thumping ramblings....it's not a pretty picture 😲

Fer sure, although I've never actually heard them. They've been kicking around for a while now, they got lots of 'cred' around here. I suppose you're recommending I check out one of their Cds, eh?

Very well, thanks. I got to play with and meet one of my all-time favourite guitarists (Duane Denison of The Jesus Lizard and Tomahawk). He even gave me his card and told me to give him a call if I'm ever in Nashville. How nice. Too bad he was probably just talking sh-t.

We're taking a break from shows to finally get around to doing some proper recording. I think we're going to be setting up a home studio at our drummer's place. He's got all the gear, software, know-how, etc. so we figured we'd just save some cash. We do have a big show in March though where we're getting the Friday night headlining set at the Horseshoe (you lived in Toronto, right? Do you know the place?). Things are moving along nicely considering that will be just our 5th show so far.

Nice, we're into the studio on the 26th, which I'm dreading. The rest of the band have voted to do the three most difficult tunes for me to play πŸ™

Can't say I know it, but I was only a kid when we were there so not surprising. Can you video it? I'd love to see you guys do your thing.

I've got a woman - Ray Charles

sort of - i don't have any of their CDs, but have listened to some of their stuff on the net and was impressed. not a million miles from Bongzilla etc, but the vocalist sounds like a psycho (that's a good thingπŸ˜‰ ) i'll probably buy some of their stuff when i have money to spend on music again...
