I think you'll find lots to identify with in M. Gira's The Consumer. I urge you to read it. Try Dennis Cooper, too, if you haven't already.

The content. In Gira's case, the literary equivalent of the music of SWANS. Cooper, he writes engagingly about damaged, often psychotic people.
