If dumbest refers to the people playing it and the audience it attracts, surely it will be soccer. No doubt. Something awful as 'American Football' qualifies as the dumbest sport if you refer dumbest to something like silly, weird and or boring and such.
Have you ever watched an NFL football game?

I've seen several soccer and hockey games.

Baseball is also the number one sport in many Carribbean countries, Central America and Japan.

And yes, the name "World Series" is stupid. 😛

Let's say I have seen enough. Yes, I do know how boring soccer can be too.

Hockey is quite interesting, though. One of the very few disciplines of the summer Olympics that I keep an eye on.

Wow, darvlay writes fast!

I'm probably in the same situation as Philabibit. Big NFL fan, but I could probably tell you what those mean.

Yes I can. Can you explain the fumble recovery rules and the way it changes inside the two minute warning?

That one has me stumped.

Offsides and icing are pretty much the same thing? Bringing the ball or puck back to the other side before the guards can get onsides?

I'm sure there is more to it... feel free to enlighten me.

Sad thing is... I really like curling! I'm sure it's more fun to play than watch.

I wanted to know why. Sorry, I should have made that clear.

I think offsides is the same in soccer or hockey. When a player of the offense passes a certain line before the ball/puck does, it's offside.

Icing on the other hand is shooting the puck from beyond half-ice, and having it pass the goal, and having the opposing team touch it first. Maybe?
