You are in an offside position in soccer if:
There are less than two players between you and the opposing goal (draw a line horizontal to each player. Cross that and you are 'closer'😉 [b]and you are in the opposing half and[/b ...[text shortened]... osition or if you influence play in some other meaningful way.
you are off sides when you are between the goalkeeper and the defender. the ref. makes the call when you are passed in this postion. If that did not make sensce here is a link.

by the way my vote is for, well i donot know casue there are a lot of "sports"which should not be sports, those i dislike, so my vote is for all the "fake sports".
sorry about all the edits, i could not figure out what to say.
Originally posted by XanthosNZI think the rules changed for this season, whereby you now have to touch the ball to be considered to be 'influencing play' when in an offside position.

If I'm wrong don't blame the Milkman, blame BBC Radio.
Edit - a bit more clarification on the same lines...
Here is the FA link about the Offside rule:

Let's see...if we expand the definition of "sport" from what we all know are actually sports, to "competition of any kind which airs on ESPN", then I guess competitive eating might be my choice...although toe-wrestling is definitely up there...
Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but I'm going to have to say field hockey. I don't think women need a sport specially designed for them. They can play the same sports that men do. And plus, field hockey doesn't seem much safer as they have to run around with their heads down because the sticks are so short. You'd think that there'd be a lot of bumped heads.

Speaking of "fake" sports I'm surprised that no one mentioned Wrestling..............I can't even define it a sport.......
