Yes, the killing of animals for sport is cruel and inhumane. That's what I love about the American Indian - they only killed when they needed the food to survive.

I had no idea what you, XanthosNZ were talking about so i will try to put it simpler.

you are off sides when you are between the goalkeeper and the defender. the ref. makes the call when you are passed in this postion. If that did not make sensce here is a link.

by the way my vote is for, well i donot know casue there are a lot of "sports"which should not be sports, those i dislike, so my vote is for all the "fake sports".

I think the rules changed for this season, whereby you now have to touch the ball to be considered to be 'influencing play' when in an offside position.

If I'm wrong don't blame the Milkman, blame BBC Radio.

Edit - a bit more clarification on the same lines...

Here is the FA link about the Offside rule:

http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/RulesAndRegulations/FIFALawsOfTheGame/Postings/2002/05/12115.htm

"New International FA Board Decision 2" is the detailed bit.

That's not true. I don't have the book with me, but I'll post the quote and the reference as soon as I get it back.

Probably makes no difference to the animal...

Let's see...if we expand the definition of "sport" from what we all know are actually sports, to "competition of any kind which airs on ESPN", then I guess competitive eating might be my choice...although toe-wrestling is definitely up there...

I've always thought "the walk" at the athletics championship to be a complete waste of time.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but I'm going to have to say field hockey. I don't think women need a sport specially designed for them. They can play the same sports that men do. And plus, field hockey doesn't seem much safer as they have to run around with their heads down because the sticks are so short. You'd think that there'd be a lot of bumped heads.
