are you kidding dude, have you ever tried to hand wash a family of thirteens clothes? on a stone, by a river?
PS I'm not saying that a man is incapable of singlehandedly raising a child but that because of the difficulties(ie not having the natural instincts) a man faces in doing this he is less likely to accomplish raising a successful child while the woman is at work. The result is a decline in good parenting.
I also am not saying that there were absolutely no problems with the system before but that certain people, in trying to correct the issues, went in the wrong direction. We, as a people should have pursued gender equity and not equality because, let's face it, men and women are not equal, they have different strengths and different weaknesses.

steamie', every Monday for the entire week washing, this took the best part of a day and while
it was no doubt tiresome it contributed greatly to the community spirit which still lingers
in our egalitarian sensibilities, but which has sadly diminished in reality. where i live
there are numerous mining villages, and seeing those young girls doing back breaking
work picking coals in the snow of winter has left a deep impression upon me, suffice to
say, that there are n smiles in the pictures.

up to me, as a father to look after our new born. I had essentially to convince the
social services that i could do it.
I agree, men and women are to be compliments of one another, however, equality
doesn't and shouldn't mean being the same.

The post that was quoted here has been removedBehind every great man is a great woman...
Women had the power of influence over their betrothed... maybe nobody ever found you suitable to be married and that is why are so bent on sexism.
Hey, I'm just following your lead in assuming things.
