no problem at all. in fact, many of the people transported to Australia were convicted of "crimes" like not being able to pay their debts (yes, it was a crime back then), or subsistence stealing (no social security payments). 19C England was not a pleasant or easy place to live in if you didn't have money. others were Irish and transported for political "cr ...[text shortened]... ain 138, Canada 116, South Africa 400, USA 700".

But that was way back then and we are here now.
Australia's economy is 25% better than New Zealand due partly to their immigration etc.
Remember, we are cousins across the ditch mate.

Also Ozzie economy is better than ours as all the minerals are sprinkled on the vast ground where nobody wants to go. 😀
