are you saying that you'd rather live day in and day out knowing that somewhere in the world an innocent woman is taking a public beating?
some things are just worth fighting for... and I can not and will not try to convince you of what those things are. you have to find that list within yourself.

This war was nothing to do with liberating women. How much crap can you spout?
If that was the case why didn't you go trounce all ove a multitude of other countries?
I've heard women in China get a raw deal.
Why not sort them out?
That's just the tip o the ice berg dude when it comes to people having their human rights stomped all over.
You said in an ...[text shortened]... st that it's all about the oil. And that ,y friend is all it is about.
So there we have it.

I CAN support the liberation of these women where I can.
I am in obviously no position to do much of anything about a rape victim here, but by supporting this war, I amy be saving some woman in Iraq. I am by no means trying to make myself sound like a savior at all, but I hope my point is clear.
p.s. the chick in the other avatar was quite a bit easier on the eyes, I might add. 🙂

It's strange that this thread has turned out this way. It started as an honest search for information, and ended up as the same ol slagging match. I guess to actually find out why he was banned would be an impossability ?

Oil is the reason our politicians are at war, oil is not the reason why I support this war.

you're bouncing over our points, and honing in on the oil-lovers.
let's list facts in order to get to what we are telling you.
Politicians love money.
Politician know that there is a lot of money in oil.
Politicians would lead their country to war under the pretense of WMDs, just to secure their oil reserves.
This war has, as a side effect, liberate ...[text shortened]... ld certainly agree that the side effedct is well worth a few politicians getting their wants.
Tell me how their lives will be improved. Especially after a ful military retraction.
And once agin you are skirting around the issue. The powers that be did not storm into Iraq under the pretence of liberating Suni and Sheite women.
They went in under the pretnece of WMD's dude. Do you not remember?
ANd they never found any WMD's. Don't you remember that?
The entirity of the invasion and occupation of Iraq was and is based on BS and lies from our own governments to ourselves.
Can you not see that?
Are you so deluded that you are stil believing these lies 5/6 years on?
The whole thing is a complete mess, and you want it to continue?

we're just re-screaming all of the same facts, and we're getting nowhere. I know I'm right, and you know you're right. let's leave it at that. as a concluding statement, I do need to say that I am surprised that you're the only one who's taken up this argument... usually, these arguments end up with me against twenty other people...
this IS a nice change. 🙂

BTW: we didn't invade because of WMD's that would have been an illegal act of war as we could not prove that there were any weapons.
